Two unbelievable days of great vibes and great food are yours to experience at the KW Multicultural Festival. You don't have to travel the world to experience the richness of our diverse culture. You may even sit for tea and relax listening to tales from around the world at the Latitudes Storytelling Festival Tent.

Latitudes Storytelling Festival is an annual two-day festival hosted by the K-W Multicultural Festival in Victoria Park in Kitchener. The Festival is part of the Tapestry series of events celebrating the diversity of our community every June. 2010 information to be updated.

On holiday in Newfoundland it does not take you long to discover the amount of travel time to get to one place to another. We were a couple days stay in Bonivista. My wife with another couple went for a walk around the pond with a boardwalk. I thought it rather boring so I investigated photo opportunities while I waited for their return. I shot a pile of lumber, then spotted a fellow planting carrot seeds in the garden. I struck up conversation. He was tanned so I guessed him to be a fisherman. He had a very deep Newfoundland accent. I could barely understand the dialect. When he asked where I was from I said Cambridge, Ontario. He said me brodder lives in Oshawa, Ontario. I excitedly exclaimed that Oshawa is an hour this side of Toronto and I live an hour the other side of Toronto. With a very serious look on his face he said, "Then you must know me brodder!" I just only smiled.

Do you Believe? I am challenged that question everytime I turn on CTV and view an Olympic commercial. I believe that someone will win the Olympic medals. I believe Canada will win some medals. I believe that people are winners that can turn off gadgets (TV & computer) and get out and get active. Go skate, walk your dog or shovel snow, your heart will love you for it.. Now get out there! February is heart month. Yes, I do believe.

Short Term mission work. Saturday January 30, 2010, I witnessed a Canadian first. A Cold winters day and some children in front of their home on Burnett Avenue was selling Hot Chocolate for Haiti. Their actions deeply touched my heart. My hat is off to them.
